Releases of 2 Subspecies of Juvenile Fish in Lake Sevan

The Minister of Environment, Erik Grigoryan, posted on his Facebook page about the fish releases in Lake Sevan. The full post is as follows:

“As part of the program for the restoration of the sturgeon stock in Sevan and the development of aquaculture, on November 20, 2019, 11,000 juvenile summer subspecies with an average weight of 22.5 grams and 40,000 Gegharkuni subspecies with an average weight of 3.5 grams, grown at the Karchaghbyur fish breeding factory, were released into Lake Sevan. The releases will continue.”
