Nikol Pashinyan Awards Composer Robert Amirkhanyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, awarded composer Robert Amirkhanyan today, November 23. The composer was honored with a first-degree medal for his services to the homeland.
The medal was presented by Prime Minister Pashinyan during an evening dedicated to the composer's 80th anniversary. The concert featured beloved melodies by Amirkhanyan, including "Smile," "I Want So Much," "Red Flower of Spring," "With You, My Love," "Homeland," "Armenian Eyes," "Puy Puy Mouse," and many other works.
All of the compositions were performed for the first time with new orchestrations arranged for jazz ensemble and choir by Robert Amirkhanyan. The concert was organized by the National Center for Chamber Music, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
