The American company Tesla, one of the largest manufacturers of electric vehicles in the world, introduced its new product, the Cybertruck electric pickup, on Friday. The event was broadcast live on the company's official website.

"It is unique," said the company's CEO Elon Musk while presenting the futuristic vehicle. According to Musk, the new pickup will functionally resemble the Ford F-150 gasoline model. He also mentioned that the design of the car was inspired by the sci-fi film Blade Runner, which is set in November 2019.

Musk noted that the pickup is literally bulletproof, as its doors are made from the same material used in SpaceX rockets. The vehicle will be produced in three variants, with ranges of 400, 480, and 800 kilometers on a single charge. The variants will also differ in the number of motors, ranging from one to three.

The price of the pickup starts at $39,900, with the most expensive model starting at $69,990. Alongside the pickup, Musk also introduced an electric quadcycle that can fit in the Cybertruck's bed and charge from it.

Pre-orders for the electric pickup are already being accepted, but production will begin in 2021.
