Tsarukyan's Italian Partner Questioned by the SCS

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: On Friday, the Italian businessman Federico Polidori, who is a business partner of Gagik Tsarukyan and the vice president of the Italian "Italian Stoneware Holding" representing the famous brand "Ceramisia," was invited for questioning by the State Revenue Committee (SCS).

Just a few days ago, on November 7, a ceramics factory, a joint business project between this company and Tsarukyan's "Multi Group," was opened in Armenia, with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also in attendance. In response to our inquiry, the SCS stated that Tsarukyan's Italian partner was questioned as a witness and emphasized that the questioning was not related to the ceramics factory.

The same was reiterated by Polidori's lawyer Emin Khachatryan, who declined to disclose details about the case for which his client was questioned, noting that he does not have permission to share specifics, and added that Polidori left Armenia after the questioning.

It is worth recalling that this Italian businessman was received by then-Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan back in 2014, where the project of constructing a factory engaged in ceramics production in Armenia was discussed. It is also important to note that this is not the first time Prime Minister Pashinyan has attended the opening of a factory, only for a criminal case to be initiated against the owner afterward. This was the case with "Spayka" as well, where days after the opening of a cheese factory, the director was arrested, and then released after paying a large sum, leading to "Spayka's" bankruptcy.
