This Government is the Most Child-Centered Government: Batoyan
This government is the most child-centered government, and we consider you our partner, stated Zarouhik Batoyan.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Zarouhik Batoyan, participated in a summit organized by the UNICEF office in Armenia in connection with World Children's Day and delivered a concluding speech, which we present in full.
"We love children unconditionally, we live for them, but there are still children in Armenia who need health care services, children abandoned by their parents due to disability. There are still children in our country who do not attend school and are subjected to violence. Unfortunately, there are children whose voices are still unheard.
Dear children, you have already participated in the changes taking place in the country, a vivid proof of which was your participation in last year's non-violent Velvet Revolution last spring. Yes, children have the right to participate in civil, social, and political life, and the government values your contribution to these changes.
The Government of Armenia has already taken steps to make healthcare for children under 18 free, and has initiated measures to develop inclusive education with new momentum and quality, clearly outlining the goal of realizing a child's right to live with their family.
This government is the most child-centered government, and we consider you our partner. Therefore, we expect to receive your proposals and support for the development and implementation of policies in all areas."
