Police Discover Over 1 Kilogram of Drugs

On November 18, officers from the community police division of the Artashat department of the RA police received information that a 62-year-old resident of the village of Mrghavert in the Ararat region was keeping and using drugs at his home.

Based on this information, a search was conducted, resulting in the discovery of more than 1 kilogram and 400 grams of greenish dried substances resembling marijuana, as well as approximately 40 grams of dried hemp plants.

According to the homeowner, the substances found are cannabis for personal use. A forensic chemical examination has been ordered. The Artashat police department has initiated proceedings concerning the incident. The circumstances are being clarified.
