Fire Erupts Behind Television Tower

On November 20, at 10:56 AM, the emergency service received a report that a grassy area was burning behind the television tower in the city of Ijevan, Tavush Province.

Three fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It was determined that the fire had started in the "Chamand" pasture of Gandzakhar village.

The fire was contained by 5:18 PM and extinguished by 6:03 PM. Approximately 1 hectare of dry leaves, wood debris, scrub, and about 1 hectare of grassy area burned in the forested section. A total of 13 rescuers and 2 employees from the "Ijevan Forest Management" branch of the Armenian Forest State Fund participated in the firefighting efforts.
