20 Tons of Cheese from Spyko Crosses the Border After 6 Days in Lars

The truck loaded with 20 tons of cheese produced by the company Spyko, which set out towards the Russian Federation on November 13, 2019, has crossed the customs checkpoint after being held for six days at Russia's Upper Lars customs station.

The Russian Customs Service granted permission for the cheese's release into Russian territory after conducting a 10% customs inspection. As previously reported, the same batch was returned by the Upper Lars customs checkpoint.

During this time, on November 17, 2019, employees of the RA State Revenue Committee and Russian customs representatives visited Spyko's cheese factory in Armenia to familiarize themselves with the entire cheese production process, from milk procurement to the final packaging of the cheese.

The company expresses its gratitude to the RA Ministry of Economy and the RA State Revenue Committee for their support and hopes that the issue has entered a phase of systematic resolution, ensuring future shipments of its blue mold cheese to Russia will not encounter such obstacles again.
