Man Who Stole 'Mercedes' and Had Accident Found

On the night of November 15, a report regarding a car theft was received at the Shengavit police station. A man had stolen a 'Mercedes' after taking advantage of the fact that the driver had briefly exited the vehicle.

Upon receiving the report, the criminal investigators of the Shengavit division of the police began taking operational measures to identify the person who had stolen the 'Mercedes' and locate both him and the vehicle. It was soon determined that the 'Mercedes' had been involved in an accident at the intersection of Arshakunyats Avenue and Shiraz Street.

The identity of the perpetrator was also established. A 30-year-old man, a resident of Yerevan, had fled the scene after the accident but later, following explanatory work, he presented himself at the Shengavit police station and provided a confession.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
