Witnesses: All 4 Officers Testify that the Governor Was at the Scene, Brother of the Lieutenant Colonel Responds to Investigation Committee's Statement
It is a lie. This is how Karen Mkrtchyan, the brother of Lieutenant Colonel Ara Mkrtchyan, who was brutally beaten two months ago in Yeghgnadzor, responded to the Investigation Committee's announcement regarding the former governor Tigran Sargsyan not being present at the scene.
"If the four officers' testimonies do not hold legally, then let the Investigation Committee and this Armenian law be damned. Let them operate by their laws, and we will operate by ours. The officers even stood and talked with the governor; he was present and did not prevent the beating," Karen Mkrtchyan told news.am, emphasizing that all four officers who were witnesses to the incident have testified that the governor was indeed at the scene.
Karen Mkrtchyan stated that two months after the incident, there has been no change in his brother's condition, which remains extremely critical.
