Several Law Enforcement Officers Killed in Iran Unrest

The official representative of the Iranian government, Ali Rabiei, has reported that several law enforcement officers have been killed as a result of unrest organized by protesters against the rise in gasoline prices. This was informed by РИА Новости.

“Unfortunately, unrest has occurred over the past few days as well. Several employees of law enforcement agencies have been attacked and lost their lives,” Rabiei stated during a press conference.

It is noteworthy that during the ongoing protests in Iran, 27 people have already died. Protests have taken place in 93 cities across Iran, with protesters setting fire to banks in the city of Karaj. Major unrest is also occurring in Tehran and Qom.

The Iranian government has decided to raise gasoline prices by 50 percent, which has led to mass protests that began on November 15. Authorities are resorting to extreme measures to disperse the protests, and the internet has been shut down in most parts of the country.
