Discussion on Amulsar Issue in Jermuk with Eric Grigoryan and MPs Participating
Environmental activist Temina Yenokyan has informed on her Facebook page that a discussion on the Amulsar issue is underway in Jermuk, attended by MPs Gayane Abrahamyan, Maria Karapetyan, Mikael Zolyan, Mary Grigoryan, Minister of Environment Eric Grigoryan, and others.
“The meeting is closed for press coverage. For quite some time now, locals have been urged to open the roads leading to Amulsar. I would like to remind that the criminal case initiated regarding the Amulsar issue collapsed due to the discovery of familial ties between investigators Ivanyan and Grigoryan and the former Minister of Environment. Furthermore, there have been no updates on the criminal case initiated due to illegal mineral extraction,” Yenokyan wrote.
“Elard” has also uncovered numerous shortcomings and presented them through a video conference. However, neither the information regarding uranium reserves was considered a basis, nor were Elard's findings, nor the 13-point letter from the ministry. Now the question arises, why is this discussion closed? There was no prior announcement, nor is broadcasting allowed at this moment,” Yenokyan added.
