Dear Nikol, my son, there is a part of society that always wants to see you calm and unhurt. - Anahit Bakhsiyan

Member of the Public Council and member of the Education Inspection Body Management Council, Anahit Bakhsiyan, wrote on her Facebook page:

“You are the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. Dear Mr. Pashinyan, beloved Prime Minister, let me address you — dear Nikol, my son. Of course, there have been changes over the past year, there are changes, no one denies this, not even the 'Enlightened Armenia' party is saying otherwise. Just today, I heard Edmon Marukyan's interview with the Voice of America about this, and what does Mane Tandilyan say? You should listen to her as well, because she substantiates her statements.

Please, listen to each other. I am begging you to change the angry tone of your speeches. Speak calmly, do not transmit your personal anger to society; let your speeches spread peace, not tension. Please calmly listen to criticism and do not be offended by it, but rather hear it out, after all, you are the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, elected by the genuine majority of the people.

It would be good if now and then you also openly addressed the criticisms directed at your team, especially the members of the National Assembly, and provided explanations.

You know, today in support of your statement about Meli, I listened to a very reasoned explanation from MP Arsen Julfalakyan. He spoke very calmly and in a balanced tone, saying that the Prime Minister states that regardless of the political stance of Armenian citizens, which social group they belong to, or what minority they are part of, he is the personal protector of the rights of all citizens of Armenia. Look at how convincingly Arsen articulated your statement.

However, when I heard your statement from the National Assembly podium, considering the words used, I focused only on those threatening words. After hearing Arsen, I understood the essence of your declaration. He also added that not all thieves, bribe-takers, and lawbreakers would benefit from the Prime Minister's personal protection.

What is my request? Dear Prime Minister Nikol, many of us in society believe in you; part of us appreciates your angry and threatening vocabulary, while another part does not. I am in the latter group. Now you might ask, which side should I lean toward? I don’t know either, but I want you to know that there is a part of society that always wants to see you calm and unhurt, and receptive to criticism.

You are the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.”
