Video: Three Police Officers Dismissed, Two Given Severe Warnings
The Police News Service of Armenia reports that on November 14, a regular session of the police disciplinary committee was held, chaired by Chief of Staff Armen Ghukasian.
Attendees included the acting head of the Internal Security Department, the head of the Legal Department, the deputy head of the Public Order Protection Department, a government representative, and members of non-governmental organizations involved in the police disciplinary committee.
The materials and conclusions of the internal investigations concerning five police personnel were reviewed and discussed. After analyzing the factual circumstances, the disciplinary committee decided to refer to the acting head of police to impose the punishment of “dismissal from police service” on three officers, while the others received “severe warnings” and “warnings” as disciplinary measures.
