National Team Ready for Match Against Greece: Khashmanyan

The Armenian national football team is ready for the upcoming match against Greece. During a meeting with reporters, the newly appointed coach Abraham Khashmanyan made this statement.

“As of today, we are not in an enviable position considering the numerous player losses. This is football, and such things happen. We have no right to cling to that fact. We had three days and tried to do our best. The national team is prepared for the match against the Greeks,” he said.

According to the coach, the team's goal in the game against Greece is to gain as much as possible from the match. “We have studied the Greek team well; they have completely changed their lineup. They play organized and effective football,” he emphasized.

In the absence of Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the match against Greece, the captain will be Hovhannes Hambardzumyan. Touching on the opportunity for young footballers, Khashmanyan stressed that dreams should not be the guiding principle. “Which young footballers do we currently have? How should we carry out a generational change? Only with words? The national team is not a testing ground,” he noted.

In the penultimate round of the European Championship qualifiers, the Armenian national team will host Greece at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium on November 15. The match will start at 21:00.
