Vardges Gasparian Denied Entry to Court Session on Kocharian and Others' Case

At the Shengavit location of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, court officials denied civil activist Vardges Gasparian access to the court session regarding Robert Kocharian and others.

"According to the Law on Self-Governance, you have the right to do only what you are authorized to do," he addressed the officials, requesting a citation of the law under which he was being denied entry. However, Gasparian received no response.

In response to a question from 'Haykakan Zhamanak' about the basis for Vardges Gasparian's exclusion from the court proceedings, Haik Margaryan, head of the court officials at the Shengavit location, stated that he previously violated court order.

When asked for clarification on whether any sanctions had been applied against him, Margaryan replied, "It is not necessary for a sanction to have been applied." As of now, Vardges Gasparian remains in the court yard, insisting that he should be allowed to enter the court.
