The Most We Talk About This, Is There a Better Stone? Hovhannisyan to Petrosyan
“I remembered a famous anecdote. It says, how did you become this way? It says, well, by asking questions like yours, I became this way. Now, in this podium, the most we talk about is this, meaning is there a better stone than this?” said My Step Alliance member Hovhannes Hovhannisyan from the National Assembly podium today.
He was referring to the initiatives of Prosperous Armenia’s Gevorg Petrosyan aimed at banning same-sex marriage and adoptions by transgender individuals. These proposals were not accepted, as representatives of the authorities claimed that such prohibitions already exist.
Commenting on this, Hovhannisyan expressed regret that this topic is discussed so much from the National Assembly podium that it inadvertently turns into propaganda. In his opinion, this issue actually does not exist.
“Let’s discuss the question of extraterrestrials too. That doesn’t exist either; it’s not proven. We are discussing some kind of adoption, where there is no such case, and it’s hard to find one,” said Hovhannisyan.
