Iravunk: Heated Elections Expected in Artsakh as Arayik Harutyunyan Burns Bridges with Former Leaders

Iravunk newspaper reports that the competition is heating up ahead of the presidential election in Artsakh. Recently, it was officially confirmed that Arayik Harutyunyan is running as a candidate from the 'Free Homeland' party, who has undergone quite interesting transformations over the past year and a half.

The long-time former Prime Minister of Artsakh has inexplicably decided to burn all bridges with former leaders to gain the approval of today’s Armenian leadership for his 'election.' However, according to our sources, his behavior is unacceptable not only among the ruling elite of Artsakh but also among the public. Everyone remembers how Arayik Harutyunyan had close ties with previous Armenian administrations, how he positively regarded their policies, and never uttered a sour or bitter word against them.

It will be of great importance who today’s (not Armenia's) Artsakh leadership sees as a replacement for Bako Sahakyan in this context.

For more details, see today’s issue of the newspaper.
