Your Task is to Fund a Film About Meli: Baghdasaryan to Authorities
The former head of the Davtashen administrative district, Ruslan Baghdasaryan, who has been charged with an offense, wrote on his social media page: "About the 'former' and the 'new.' For 1.5 years now, the society has been persistently divided by the current authorities into 'blacks' and 'whites,' 'former' and 'new.' They do this with all their 'speakers.' Why are they doing this? They do it to discredit those whom they call 'former' members of society and elevate their own authority. In my opinion, this is a futile endeavor.
Let me explain why. If you need to gain the love and respect of our citizens for as long as possible, you can only mislead a part of them for some time (for some time, because time puts everything in its place, and no matter how much you convince our citizens today that the former ones were 'monsters,' time will correct that), while the remaining part will begin to hate you more than you 'former ones.' You can earn the respect of citizens only through your work, but I am increasingly convinced that this is not accessible to you.
Your task is to fund a film about Meli. If by 'former' you mean former officials, then there are 'former former' members in your team who operated in the 90s—are they good, are you and they good, and we are the bad ones? Have you at least once considered that many of you, including those aged 30, 40, and even 50, have just recently become 'new'? Is it good in your view that at that age they are just trying to establish themselves? They won’t establish themselves.
Moreover, among your 'team,' a few of the somewhat capable 'new ones' are still remembered 'former ones.' Furthermore, the absence of these 'renewed former ones' will entirely exclude the implementation of any program. I ask you to read my writing, analyze it, and remember: many of you will be neither former, nor present, nor will you have a future.
You accuse 'the former' of working poorly. I will speak for myself. Can the mayor, who has been shackled to the neck by you in front of Yerevanians, look into my eyes and say that I worked poorly, and according to his words, Davtashen has not been a paradise? No, he can’t. Neither he nor his 'subjects' can look me in the eyes and say such a thing; after leaving their job, they will look at me with horror (out of shame, that is, if they have any). It's simply much easier to spread scandalous news about Ruslan Baghdasaryan or other 'former ones' than to work and earn the love and respect of Yerevanians through work.
So remember, you cannot assert yourself at my expense; I won't allow it. I have gained my authority through my life journey—from my youth until now, and during the time I worked as a neighborhood leader, I reinforced it further with the people of Davtashen. Just yesterday, some 'newborns' (I call them newborns because their life and biography is only 1.5 years old) were trying to convince the public that I want to flee to France. They measure all decent people by their own standards. Therefore, Armenia is my country, Yerevan is my city, and Davtashen is my birthplace. And those spreading fake news know this very well. I will say more—it's they who dream of my leaving the country because they are fighting shadow characters and cannot cope. You will see your difficulties; you will not see my departure.
I kindly advise the aforementioned 'newborns' to ask your 'anti-corruption warrior' mayor during the municipal council meeting on Monday whether the Czech Republic will also grant you asylum. You will surely need it, as much as we have gotten to know you; you will surely flee. I wrote this post knowing that you will fall into hysteria again and formulate another 'danoz.' But that’s alright; I’m used to it already.
However, I'm warning all of you—do not post abusive comments with fake accounts; I will demand accountability from you. And if you have such a strong desire to insult me personally, do so, if you can, looking straight into my eyes. Remember when insulting online, that later you will be begging for forgiveness out of shame.
For now, that’s all.
