Member of 'My Step' Party Leaves Parliamentary Committees
One of the items on the agenda of the Assembly Council meeting is the question of Vahagn Tevosyan, a member of the 'My Step' party, leaving the interparliamentary committee for cooperation between the parliaments of Armenia and Belarus, as well as the interparliamentary committee for cooperation between the National Assembly of Armenia and the State Duma of Russia.
In addition to leaving the interparliamentary committees, the member is also preparing to resign from the friendship groups he belongs to. He is departing from the Armenia-Poland, Armenia-Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia-Ukraine friendship groups as well.
Regarding the topic, the member recently made a post on his Facebook page. He stated: “This is solely due to the complex projects we are working on concerning the Law on Electricity and the Law on Cinema. They demand energy and time, creating theoretical foundations that reduce the effectiveness of other activities. To avoid such a scenario and not to be distracted from my core responsibilities, I have asked the faction to reduce my participation in interparliamentary committees and friendship groups.”
