Assault Case of a 27-Year-Old Revealed

An incident of stabbing a 27-year-old man born in 1992 has been uncovered within the framework of a criminal case being investigated by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia at the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts.

One person has been involved as a suspect.

According to preliminary data, on November 8, 2019, at 05:40 AM, a report was received by the Erebuni police department from the Malatya police department regarding a young man born in 1992 who had come to the Erebuni Medical Center with "puncture wounds to the right flank of the abdominal wall."

A criminal case has been opened under Article 112 (Part 1) of the RA Criminal Code in the Investigative Committee's Erebuni and Nubarashen departments, and investigative actions are underway, including the formation of an investigative group. The young man born in 1992 has been recognized as the victim.

On November 8, 2019, a 65-year-old woman, a resident of Yerevan, was taken to the Erebuni police department on suspicion of committing the crime and presented the knife used in the crime. On the same day, the investigator decided to involve the 65-year-old woman as a suspect, and a preventive measure was chosen against her - a signature not to leave.

During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that on November 8, 2019, at around 3 AM, the young man born in 1992 visited the 65-year-old woman with his girlfriend. Under the influence of alcohol, during an argument, the guests insulted the 65-year-old hostess, which prompted her to grab a kitchen knife and strike the young man born in 1992 multiple times on various parts of his body, resulting in him falling face-first and subsequently fleeing the scene.

A number of investigative actions have been conducted, including inspections of the crime scene and questioning numerous individuals. Forensic medical and forensic examinations have been appointed. The preliminary investigation is ongoing, with measures being taken to ensure the objective, complete, and comprehensive investigation of the circumstances of the case.
