Armenia Thanks Russia for Supporting Syrian Armenians
Yerevan expresses gratitude to Moscow for its support of Syrian Armenians. This was stated by the head of Armenia's foreign ministry, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, during a press conference held after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"I thanked the Russian Federation for its support of Syrian Armenians. At the same time, the crucial role of the Armenian humanitarian mission in Syria was emphasized," said Mnatsakanyan.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin kept his promise to protect the interests of Syrian Armenians during negotiations with the Turkish side.
On October 22, negotiations took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Syria, after which Ankara halted military operations in northeastern Syria.
