UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited the flood-affected town of Matlock and cleaned the floor of a local shop. According to Sky News, the Prime Minister arrived in Derbyshire on November 8.
He thanked emergency service workers and announced that the government has allocated £2.6 billion for flood defense programs. After this, Johnson visited a shop in the town where a woman lost her life due to the natural disaster. Following his speech, the Prime Minister picked up a piece of flooring and began cleaning the area in front of the entrance.
