Suicide or Accident? Doctors Save the Life of a 13-Year-Old Boy in Vardenis
On November 8, a mysterious incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region, as reported by SHAMSHYAN.com. Around 8:40 PM, the police department in Vardenis received a call from the Vardenis Medical Center stating that a child with a life-threatening condition had been admitted unconscious at 6:00 PM.
The police and investigators discovered that the child brought to the hospital was 13-year-old S.Z., a resident of one of the villages in the Gegharkunik region. The doctors at the Vardenis hospital were able to save the child's life.
Later that evening, the child was transferred to the Arabkir Medical Center in Yerevan, accompanied by doctors from the Vardenis hospital. The police and investigators also established that on the same day, around 5:40 PM, the child’s grandfather, 64-year-old S.Z., had seen his grandson hanging from a makeshift noose made of rope at the top of their outdoor iron staircase.
The grandfather managed to cut the rope quickly and called the Vardenis hospital, where the doctors arrived promptly to provide assistance to the child. Whether this incident was a suicide or an unfortunate accident will be clarified after a series of examinations, as the police and investigative department are working under two hypotheses. Investigative materials are being prepared on the case.
