Passenger Traffic at Airports Increased by 12.6% in October Compared to Last Year

In October of this year, the passenger traffic at two airports in Armenia totaled 298,300 people, surpassing the same month in 2018 by 12.6%. This information was reported by "Armenia" International Airports CJSC.

In October 2019, compared to the same period last year, passenger traffic at Zvartnots Airport increased by 14.6%. While 249,857 passengers used Zvartnots International Airport in October 2018, the figure for October 2019 rose to 286,227.

Meanwhile, at Shirak Airport in Gyumri, passenger traffic in October 2019 amounted to 12,073, down 19.9% from 15,067 passengers in the same month of 2018.

Passenger Numbers in October 2018 and 2019:

• Zvartnots: 249,857 (2018) → 286,227 (2019) = +14.6%
• Shirak: 15,067 (2018) → 12,073 (2019) = -19.9%
• Total: 264,924 (2018) → 298,300 (2019) = +12.6%

Since the beginning of the year, the total passenger traffic at both airports in the Republic of Armenia has reached 2,695,266, which is an 11.5% increase compared to the same months of the previous year. From January to October 2019, the number of flights at Zvartnots and Shirak airports also recorded a 14.3% increase compared to the same periods last year.
