If there is a parliament where the Genocide should be discussed, it is the Turkish Grand National Assembly: Paylan

Member of the Turkish Parliament from Diyarbakır, Karo Paylan, made a statement on November 7 during the budget discussions in the Turkish Parliament regarding the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

He notably stated, "Before 1915, on these lands, Armenians lived in Sparta, Mersin, Adana, Trabzon, Diyarbakır, and Bursa, and one out of every five people in this country was Armenian. Now, you cannot even fill a stadium if you gather all of us Armenians together. Indeed, we did not have any breathing space. A great disaster occurred, which unfortunately, for 104 years, we have been denying through a policy of denial. We refuse to talk about it. Look, other parliaments are discussing this, and we say, let them not talk about it. The issue related to this region should be discussed within this region. If there is a single parliament in the world where this issue must be addressed, it is the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Because we are the descendants of these lands."
