9 Complaints Submitted to ECHR in Robert Kocharyan's Case, Defense Attorney Reports
Nine complaints have been submitted to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) regarding the case of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan. This information was shared by attorney Aram Orbelyan during a meeting with journalists.
According to him, 5-6 complaints have been registered but are not yet in the communication phase. Another process is related to the application to the Constitutional Court. Participants in the national process have been given time until November 19 to present their positions. All interested parties must submit their opinions by November 12.
“We expect that the decision will be made by the end of this year or the beginning of next year,” Aram Orbelyan noted. In this regard, he emphasized that the ECHR's decision needs to be implemented. “Otherwise, Armenia will find itself under monitoring. I hope it doesn't come to that, and the decisions will be executed without coercive measures,” the attorney added.
