Woman Attempts Self-Immolation Near Russian Embassy in Yerevan

According to Sputnik Armenia, an extraordinary incident occurred yesterday near the Russian Embassy in Yerevan. A woman threatened to self-immolate. This was reported to law enforcement by an employee of the embassy.

Arriving police removed the woman from the area and took her to the police station.

According to circulating reports, the woman, who is around 60 years old and allegedly a citizen of the Russian Federation, has been transferred to one of the mental health centers in Yerevan.
