Erdogan Announces Arrest of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's Wife

Turkey's security forces have arrested the wife of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State terrorist group, in Syria. This was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Al-Baghdadi detonated himself in his hideout, and we have found and arrested his wife in Syria, but we are not making a big fuss about it,” Erdogan stated.

The Turkish president also noted that the sister and husband of al-Baghdadi have been arrested as well.
