Plans to Build Nearly 10 km Long Coastal Pedestrian Promenade

Hayk Sarkisyan, a member of the "My Step" faction in the National Assembly, writes on his Facebook page: "In order to create a favorable environment for investment and to establish a recreational area in the section of the 'Sevan' National Park, which covers the Lechashen-Sevan peninsula, it is planned to develop a zoning project for the mentioned area. A coastal pedestrian promenade of approximately 10 km in length is planned to be constructed, starting from the intersection of highways M-4 and M-10 and ending near the entrance of Sevanavank. The promenade will be built using local natural stones, with finishes made of basalt or granite tiles.

Alongside the promenade, a 2.5-meter wide cycling path will be constructed, separated from the promenade by a green dividing strip. It is envisioned to create cottage and hotel development areas along the coastal pedestrian promenade, interspersed with commercial, service, and food establishments, landscaped parks, children's parks, and areas for active recreation and entertainment. It is planned to construct docking areas at the beginning, in the middle, and on the peninsula of the promenade."
