Large Amount of Drugs Discovered Instead of Date Seeds at Artik Penitentiary

On November 5, around 15:30, employees of the RA Ministry of Justice's Artik Penitentiary conducted a search of a parcel delivered by former inmate G.T. for his brother, detained individual R.M.

This was reported by the penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice.

During the inspection, it was revealed that in one of the two boxes containing dates, instead of 24 seeds, there were camouflaged resin masses weighing 29.59 grams that resembled opiate-type drugs.

Materials have been prepared in relation to the incident. A forensic chemical examination has been commissioned.
