Zoo Statement Regarding Dogs That Caused Damage to the Park
The Yerevan Zoo has released a new statement regarding the dogs that allegedly caused damage to the park, leading to the death of three kangaroos and mouflons.
"Last night, during operations at the Yerevan Zoo, five stray animals (three females and two males) were discovered and captured in the area, one of which is noticeably large upon external inspection. The dogs were tranquilized using a specialized long-range tranquilizer device, placed in enclosures, and sheltered in the clinic area of the Yerevan Zoo. Today, at noon, they were handed over to the staff of the 'Stray Animal Neutralization Center' LLC, where further actions will be carried out.
We emphasize that the captured stray animals were tranquilized in a manner that is safe for animals and were transferred to the aforementioned center under the same status. At the request of the Yerevan Zoo, one of the discovered stray animals will be returned after the actions conducted by the 'Stray Animal Neutralization Center' LLC and will become our resident, assisting us in conducting nighttime surveillance," the statement reads.
