Video: A March Has Begun in Yerevan Against the Ratification of the Istanbul Convention

A march initiated by the "Will" initiative against the ratification of the Istanbul Convention has currently transformed into a procession through the streets of Armenia.

Vahagn Chakhalyan, the leader of the "Will" initiative, announced that the protests will continue and they will not be limited to the area in front of the National Assembly. "Tens of thousands of citizens are ready to stand up and carry out acts of disobedience in various cities of Armenia. We say that there is no need for this at the moment, as long as the document has not been submitted for ratification. However, if the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia does not listen to the voice of the citizens and goes against their opinion, then protests will occur in all the cities," he said.

Chakhalyan declared, "We will send the Istanbul Convention back to Istanbul."
