Levon Eranosyan's Court Hearing Postponed Due to Court's Heavy Workload

The court hearing of former Deputy Chief of Police Levon Eranosyan was postponed today at the Avan and Nor-Nork residence of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction due to the court's heavy workload.

After the hearing, Levon Eranosyan declined to answer reporters' questions, stating that he would speak later during the proceedings as promised.

In response to a journalist's question about whether he had a statement due to the change in the Chief of Police, Eranosyan remarked, "Don’t forget that I am a military man, not a police officer." When asked by reporters if he accepted the charges, Eranosyan said, "No, I have not committed any wrongdoing."

It is worth noting that today the court was reviewing evidence, attended by recognized victims in the case, including the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan. The next court session is scheduled for November 22 at 12:30 PM.

According to the indictment conclusion, Levon Eranosyan deliberately carried out actions that clearly exceeded his authority, causing significant harm to the rights and legal interests of citizens and carelessly resulting in severe consequences. He has been charged under Article 309, Part 1, Points 2 and 3 of the RA Criminal Code. A measure of restraint has been chosen for Eranosyan in the form of a signature not to leave.
