Independent MPs Join Arayik Harutyunyan's Team in Artsakh
The independent MP Erik Robiki Harutyunyan has submitted a request to join the "Fatherland" parliamentary group of the "Free Homeland" party led by former Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan. This was announced by the press center of the "Free Homeland" party.
On October 31, another independent MP, Aram Alexeyi Sargsyan, joined the "Free Homeland" faction according to his application. During a meeting with the faction leader Arthur Tovmasyan, the MPs noted that they made this decision considering the programs put forward by the party.
"It was a conscious decision, as the vision for the development of Artsakh presented by the 'Free Homeland' party is ambitious and realistic," said Aram Sargsyan, elected as an independent candidate from constituency number 2 (Stepanakert).
Erik Harutyunyan, also elected as an independent from constituency number 10, which includes Shushi and Kashatagh regions, emphasized that he values the path taken by the 'Free Homeland' party and the potential it possesses.
Arthur Tovmasyan, the leader of the 'Fatherland' faction, welcomed the decision of the independent parliamentarians and expressed confidence that their joint activities would further enhance the effectiveness of the faction's work in the Parliament.
It is noted that the 'Fatherland' faction is the largest in the Artsakh Parliament and, with the addition of new members, will have a total of 16 MPs. Additionally, among the 33 MPs of the Artsakh Parliament, only Aram Sargsyan and Erik Harutyunyan were not part of any faction.
