Syrian Kurd Sets Himself on Fire Near UN Headquarters
Near the UN Geneva headquarters, a Syrian Kurd attempted self-immolation. The incident occurred yesterday, October 23.
In the morning, he approached the UN building, doused himself in gasoline, and ignited himself. At that moment, UN employees were just arriving at work. The man, who suffered burns, was airlifted to the Lausanne University Hospital.
