Accident at the Intersection of Kocharyan-Papazyan Streets Involves 4-Year-Old Child

On October 23, a pedestrian accident resulting in death occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. At approximately 19:00, a local resident, 40-year-old A. M., driving a VAZ 21013 with license plate 35 XL 137, struck 45-year-old Z. M., a resident of Vayots Dzor, on the Yerevan-Meghri highway at the 122.7 km mark.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and transported the victim to the 'Yeghegnadzor' medical center. Unfortunately, hours later, Z. M. passed away without regaining consciousness.

A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code. Shamshyan's sources report that the case will be transferred to the Investigative Department of the Vayots Dzor region, while the driver A. M. serves as a contractual serviceman in the RA Ministry of Defense's N military unit.
