Social Affairs Minister Cannot Distinguish Boarding Schools from Hostels: Gevorg Petrosyan
The Social Affairs Minister cannot distinguish boarding schools from hostels. This was stated by Gevorg Petrosyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia faction, on his Facebook page.
He specifically noted: “Yesterday during the announcement hour in the National Assembly, raising the painful issue of the liquidation of boarding schools was received with hurt by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, who mockingly suggested that I, as a former minister, do not know that children are not educated in boarding schools.
I am not surprised; given the myriad topics he discusses that have no connection to the field, how can he possibly find time to read the legislation regulating his own sector? Madam Minister, to alleviate your surprise, please read the government decision No. 890-N from July 26, 2007, so that next time someone hears your opinion on the same topic, they won’t think that you cannot differentiate between a boarding school and a motel or hostel.”
Perhaps that’s exactly why you are coldly preparing to destroy these institutions.
