Investigative Committee Denies Reports of Brawl Published in 'Fact' Newspaper
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has released a statement on its Facebook page, denying claims made in the latest issue of 'Fact' newspaper titled 'Scandal at the Investigative Committee's 5th Anniversary Celebration'. The celebration took place on October 8 at the 'Florence' restaurant complex and was attended by the heads of the investigative committees from Russia and Belarus.
The statement emphasizes that no offensive remarks were made towards any staff of the Investigative Committee or their counterparts during the event. It’s also noted that no representatives of the Armenian Prime Minister's protocol attended the celebration, thus rendering the information suggesting a conflict involving Committee Chairman Hayk Grigoryan fabricated.
Regarding reports that the heads of the Russian and Belarusian investigative committees left the celebration early, the statement clarifies that both leaders remained until the event concluded and later stayed overnight at the 'Radisson Blu' hotel, a detail that can be confirmed with the hotel.
We urge our colleagues at 'Fact' newspaper to refrain from making statements that do not correspond with reality.
