Are You Aware of Each Other's Drafts Within the Government? Tandilyan to 'My Step'

Starting from January 1, 2020, salaries, pensions, and other payments in Yerevan will be made in non-cash form through bank transfers, and from 2021-2022, this will apply to the regions. The government has presented a project regarding this, which was announced by LHK MP Mane Tandilyan from the National Assembly podium.

At that moment, a similar project by MP Gevorg Papoyan from the 'My Step' faction was also being discussed. Tandilyan asked him if he was aware of the government's project.

“When I am suspicious and think that the government will not bring this project, that it is working slowly, I get the impression that we are in agreement there, and you have also lost hope that such regulation will be introduced, as one clearly contradicts the other. If there is a circulating project like that, it is necessary to understand whether they are aware of each other's drafts within the government or not,” said Tandilyan.

In essence, Papoyan did not dispel Tandilyan’s suspicion. Responding to her question from the podium, he stated that his project is already going through the second reading, while the government’s project is still in the stage of public discussions.

The question posed by Tandilyan was essentially answered by 'My Step' MP Lusine Badalyan. According to her, there is an agreement that the regulation will start with this draft for the city of Yerevan, while the government’s project will complement and extend this regulation to the regions.

A representative of the government also noted that they have indicated that a new project will be introduced, but since this one does not contradict their project, they have no objections.
