Video: Incident with Police Involvement in Yerevan

A video has circulated online showing a dispute between a citizen and a police officer. The footage reveals that the police officer present in the area calls for departmental personnel to come and detain the citizen.

According to NEWS.am, the incident occurred yesterday, October 21, near a vegetable shop located at 15 Shinararner Street. Sources indicate that the police officer was passing through the area when a 46-year-old man recognized him and began to insult him.

Reports indicate that there is currently an ongoing criminal case being investigated by the Investigative Committee involving the aforementioned man. The police have stated that the citizen involved in the incident has been taken to the Mashtots police station on suspicion of hooliganism and has been subsequently arrested.
