Another Arrest of Hrayr Tovmasyan Occurs: Arthur Ghazinyan

Arthur Ghazinyan, the president of the 'One Armenia' party, wrote on his Facebook page: 'Yesterday, another arrest around Hrayr Tovmasyan took place. All doubts among the public have already been dispelled regarding the political persecution being applied to Hrayr Tovmasyan, using tools characteristic of a 'koltso operation.' Psychological and moral pressure is being exerted on the President of the Constitutional Court, carried out by all possible and impossible means and mechanisms held in the hands of the authorities.

It is undoubtedly condemnable that the authorities are working in this way not just because it completely contradicts the values declared in the process of the regime change, but more so because Pashinyan uses the very methods and tools that were traditionally employed by the previous authorities against none other than himself, Nikol Pashinyan, and his allies.

You led our citizens to fight for freedom, yet today you are illegally stripping your political opponents of their freedom. You fought for the rule of law, but with every step, you trample upon rights and human rights.

In 2018, the citizens of Armenia took to the streets and rejected the authority of Serzh Sargsyan, largely due to these kinds of actions, as narrow-clan interests and the oppression and political persecution carried out to establish and strengthen one's own power are foreign and unacceptable to our people.

Mr. Pashinyan, if you continue this way, you will be rejected by the Armenian people even more severely than the previous authorities, do not doubt for a second. And always remember, you are not above the law, and you are no better than either Robert Kocharyan or Serzh Sargsyan.'
