Unemployment in Armenia Decreased by 2.5%: Pashinyan
I am pleased to note that since the second quarter of 2019, we have seen a significant decrease in unemployment. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
“If in the second quarter of 2018 the number of unemployed was 236,400, then in the second quarter of 2019, it decreased to 207,200, a reduction of 29,200 people. Currently, the unemployment rate in our country stands at 17.7%, which means that compared to the same period last year, overall unemployment has decreased by 2.5%,” his post reads.
