NSS Still Unable to Reach Hrayr Tovmasyan

The National Security Service (NSS) has still not succeeded in establishing contact with Hrayr Tovmasyan, who currently occupies the position of President of the Constitutional Court. This was reported by the NSS press center.

Previously, the NSS announced that the head of the subdivision preparing materials had attempted to personally contact the President of the Constitutional Court through the head of the Constitutional Court’s staff. The purpose was to coordinate the date, time, and place for receiving explanations from Tovmasyan, his assistant, and family members. However, he did not respond to calls or reach out, prompting the dispatch of notifications in accordance with established procedures.

It is worth noting that explanations have already been provided by Hrayr Tovmasyan's father and daughters in connection with this case. According to the NSS, during the years 2012-2014, allegations of embezzlement and acceptance of unexecuted work by officials were reported regarding the reconstruction works of the building located at 2 Zakyan Street in Yerevan, valued at approximately 855 million AMD, as well as the renovation of Abovyan Prison and a high school in the Sari Tagh neighborhood worth around 15 million AMD. Information has been obtained concerning the transfer of construction materials free of charge to officials by the representative of the company that carried out the said construction works, for which an explanation was also received from the father of the President of the Constitutional Court, Vardan Tovmasyan.

Additionally, he was offered to allow experts to inspect the roof of their private residence within the framework of the appointed judicial construction technical and judicial forensic examinations, which, however, was declined by him.
