New Metro Station to Be Built Through Private Investments: Hakob Karapetyan
I must sadly note that Mr. Baghdasaryan is either unaware of this issue or intends to mislead the public. This was stated by the spokesperson of Yerevan Mayor Hakob Karapetyan in an interview with Aurora News, responding to the Facebook post of former Davtashen administrative district head Ruslan Baghdasaryan, who claimed that the mayor had lied about the construction of a new metro station.
“When discussing the new metro station or the development of the metro network, we did not mention anything about loan programs. It has been stated very clearly and repeatedly that this is planned to be done through an investment program, using private investments. Yes, the EBRD had a loan program related to the service of the metro,” said Karapetyan, urging the public not to pay attention to gossip.
It is worth noting that earlier, former Davtashen administrative district head Ruslan Baghdasaryan posted on Facebook, asserting that he can confidently claim that the current mayor of Yerevan has deceived the residents of the capital by stating that a metro station will not be built.
