Armenian Father and Daughter Fight Against Turks in Syria

A photo has surfaced on the social media platform Twitter showing an Armenian father and daughter fighting against Turkish forces in northeastern Syria.

The image features 53-year-old Joseph Sarkis from the city of Ras al-Ain and his 19-year-old daughter, Anush. "Anush Sarkis is a member of the self-defense forces (YPG). She fought against ISIS in Raqqa. Now they are together managing a shelter for displaced people in Hasakah," journalist Habat Abbas wrote on his microblog.
