Details on the Identity of the Young People Who Killed a Policeman: They Were Orphans
According to Tert.am, the young individuals accused of killing a policeman and injuring another today were residents of an orphanage. Years ago, they were tortured by their mother, after which they were placed in a children’s home. One of them was stabbed by his mother at the age of 7, for which she was sentenced.
The suspect, Hrach G., was stabbed by his mother, resulting in injuries to his heart, diaphragm, and stomach. Following the incident, the mother transported her son to a medical center with the help of her mother, where he underwent surgery. During this time, another charge was brought against her for torturing her two sons.
Sargsyan G., born in 2001, and Hrach G. faced physical abuse with sticks, belt buckles, pipes, and various other objects. A total of 58 and 65 scars were found on the bodies of her sons. Rita G. was found guilty under Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code for intentionally causing severe injury to health, and Article 119 for inflicting physical pain or psychological suffering, and was sentenced to five years in prison. After these incidents, the children were moved to the Ijevan orphanage.
According to reports, their grandmother is a well-known woman in Proshyan, and their mother is her stepdaughter. The brothers are known in various communities of the republic. The older brother has returned from the SOS orphanage, while the younger brother recently returned as well. The community remains silent about the young people, but some information indicates that they have committed various thefts in different cities of the Republic and exhibited inappropriate behavior even in the orphanage.
They have drawn attention for various offenses, and after today’s incident, they fled the scene as usual and did not try to hide, eventually being found by the police. The brothers went out as usual to commit another theft and encountered police officers after the robbery. Initially, they fled, then resisted, and one of them killed the other policeman with his weapon and calmly returned home, not presenting themselves to law enforcement.
Neighbors did not notice anything unusual until the police visited the Proshyan community. It should be noted that a criminal case has been initiated under parts 1 of Article 238, part 2 of Article 316, and part 1 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code. The deceased policeman, Tigran Arakelyan, was from the village of Argavand in the Ararat region and had two minor children.
