‘Zhoghovurd’. The Witness Present on Hayk Harutyunyan's Suicide Day Has Left the Country

‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper reports: According to the newspaper, the witness who was present in the house of former police chief Hayk Harutyunyan, who committed suicide in his private residence in Bjni, has left the Republic of Armenia.

ArmLur.am wrote that before his death, Harutyunyan expressed dissatisfaction about how he had managed to live cleanly for years, but now faced disgrace and a dishonorable end. Our information reveals that the witness, identified as N.H., had been a long-serving employee in the police system. During his tenure as head of the department, law enforcement agencies initiated a criminal case for abuse of office. However, the charges were not substantiated, and the case did not reach a judicial conclusion.

So why did the key witness in Harutyunyan's case leave the country? The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia clarified to the newspaper that a travel ban may only be imposed on individuals with suspect or accused procedural status, and they stated that the witness told them he would return to Armenia in a few days.
