VIDEO. They probably came to see what "palaces" we have: Tovmasyan's father on NSS visit

There hasn’t been an interrogation; they only inquired about when and how we repaired the roof of the house. This was stated by Vardan Tovmasyan, the father of the President of the Constitutional Court Hrayr Tovmasyan, in a conversation with reporters after the staff of the National Security Service (NSS) left his home.

Earlier, Tert.am reported that investigators from the National Security Service went to the private house of Hrayr Tovmasyan's father in the Darakert community. Vardan Tovmasyan noted that he allowed the NSS employees to inspect the roof but did not sign any documents.

When asked what he thinks about the NSS's actions, he responded, "You all understand what the reason is, what can I say?" He informed that there has been no interrogation and added that they were only interested in the roof of the house. "What their business is, I don’t know. We repaired the roof 12 years ago; a friendly person did it. Perhaps it was an opportunity for them to come see what 'palaces' we have," he said.

When asked if he is worried about these actions, he answered, "Who wouldn't be concerned about such an act?" He also mentioned that he will go to the NSS with a lawyer tomorrow.

It should be noted that today representatives of the NSS had called Hrayr Tovmasyan's father and his daughters and invited them for a 'conversation,' without explaining why and in connection with which case. Vardan Tovmasyan informed them that he is unwell and cannot present himself at the NSS. NSS representatives stated that in that case, they would go to their home.
