Armenia Elected as Member of UN Human Rights Council
Armenia has been elected as a member of the UN Human Rights Council, receiving 144 votes from among 193 countries. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on his Facebook page, stating, “This is a great testament to the trust of the international community in our country, especially regarding the protection of human rights. I congratulate us all!”
In turn, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan emphasized that Armenia is committed to working and collaborating with all partners to promote the human rights agenda.
